Why are all my soft coral shrinking even the green star polyps and xenia have gone , all my test are good

I do have alot of palothoas taking over could they be the problem

When do they retract / deflate, when the lights go off, when the lights come one, mid day when the lights are at their strongest?
How long do they stay retracted / deflated for?

My corals retract & deflate from time to time, but after an hour they are completely fine again. Probably just some irritation, from a fish or invert that brushed up against it, could this also be the case for you?

my sg is 1.025-1.026 and I do run caron
The do sometimes inflate a bit but they are getting smaller

Can you post some photos of the whole tank and close ups of the corals?

How long has the tank been established? Are the corals new additions?

Although not critical, 7.9 alk is a little low for my taste

I just found a rusting temp probe could that be the problem
