Ok, so I decided to improve my dosing containers. I watched a brs tv how-to video. I placed some stiff silicon tubing into my container. I used a murlock bulkhead to join it to the flexible tubing I had going into my dosing pump. And boom....no suction. Now I'm wondering if I need to switch to stiffer tubing going into my dosing pump in order to get a good seal in the murlock. Is it ok to use stiff tubing going into my dosing pump? I have an eshopps iv200. I'm just worried I won't get a tight seal into the dosing pump. Anyone else go through something like this? What tubing do you use on the suction part? Thanks ahead of time.

I would think it shouldn't matter. I think the stiff v soft tube is more dependent on the chemical being dosed so as not to break down. But I use the stiffer one on all mine. Just seems stronger.

Ok thanks. It just doesn't seem to fit quite as snugly onto the pump. I'll probably just gently zip tie it to my shelf after I attach it- just so that if it should loosen from my pump, I avoid catastrophe. It's just so much easier getting the stiffer tube to the bottom of my container. Thanks again.

Yeah and if you need more of the rigid tubing, home depot sells it for refrigerators for about $5 for 25' worth.
