Hey everyone. My tanks have been up for 6 months. Anyway I live the in country we have drinkable out of the ground well water. We treat it with a softener. I use this for my tanks. Haven’t gotten. A RODI unit yet. So far it’s been prettt good. A week or so ago I threw out my chemi pure elite not sure if it’s a coincidence but this past week cyano has come back quite a bit. I have added vibrant. Nitrates seem to be zero which I find impossible pho’s .05 the other day it seems with research cyano happens with high and low nutrients. Any advice other than an RODI unit? I do 30 percent waterchabges every two weeks. Fluval 13.5
Right now have a skimmer carbon and filter floss

Use some chemi clean after manually removing as much as you can. Cyano often happens when phosphates are high (regardless of nitrate level) or there is very little microbial diversity. If nitrates are 0 then stop vibrant as you are only helping the cyano by starving any competition. If you can't get an RO then just get some distilled water.
