I've had a 32 gal biocube running as a softie tank for just under a year (I think). A couple different toadstools, nepthea, pineapple coral, papya coral, cespitualaria. One hammer that grows like nobody's business.

3 weeks ago everything closed up like it was shedding. No big deal....I thought. But since then the toadstools, papaya and devils hand just keep shedding. Some have had polyps out for a day, only to close and wax back up. The nepthea, sinularia, cespitularia and zoas seem ok.

I've done several water changes (one of them 50%) and tripled up fresh carbon in case of chemical warfare. I also added a second small powerhead to try to blow off detritus. Parameters haven't changed over several weeks:

Salinity 1.024
pH 7.9-8.2
Alk stable around 8.2
Ca 485
Mg 1250
NO4 25
PO4 .14

Any suggestions?

Tia!

I don't see anything out of whack in the parms. Only thing I would suggest would be to get a second test on the Alkalinity and Salinity. So don't use your test kits get a new one or get one done a LFS to compare. Maybe one of yours is off.
