Had this one just under a month and it’s already rapidly becoming a favourite of mine, but I can’t id it.
When I got it, I had no idea it turn out like this, the body was pale and is now peach and the polyps are starting to turn from white to green which is hard to capture with my ipad camera and it has that beautiful pattern of sclerites that the Dendronephthya/Scleronephthya spp corals have just not quite as obvious. I’m pretty sure it’s photosynthetic as well and it loves reefroids. I just have no idea what species it could be?
This was first few weeks while I was acclimating it’s to the tank.
This is now.... it’s fast growing!
What appears to be something resembling sclerites are also spreading out from the base to, which is really weird. You can see them on the live rock underneath spreading towards another unrelated softie.
