Hope this is the correct place for this question.

I am a newbie but have an established 75gal tank with softies, zoas, anenomes, etc. I am trying to frag a simple pulsing xenia and sinularia and while I use a large dab of glue to the plug they still fall off. I put the glue on the plug, press the bottom of the xenia into the glue, hold it, dip it in some tank water and then place in my tank. Do I just have too much flow and it blows them of the plugs? The last one I did fell out of frag rack and landed on a rock and is attaching.

Any help appreciated so I can get a few frags started?

Whenever I have fragged leathers in the past my best luck has always been using a rubberband... helps to hold the frag in place while still not stressing the tissue too much.. Glue on leathers can be hard to set due to how slippery/slimy the frags are. Hope this helps! How I got my sinularia frags to all set properly!

The leather will slim or shed the glue. There are a couple of things I have done.

Stand them in the sand. They really want to grab on to something quick. Once they have attached to the sand you can glue them

Put in small container and place rubble around them they will attach in a couple of days

Rubberband

Tooth pick through the middle and rubberband to rock.
*****with these last to be very careful not to put to much pressure on the leather. You will cut them in half****

Sfin52 called it. Toothpick and rubberband for sure. Use a figure 8 pattern on the edges and bottom side of rock / plug.

If you can get a shroom box and some loose rubble. You could always just set them in there and wait for natural attachment. This is what I do for the frequency in which I have to trim my Xenia lol, works great!

Tupperware works well for small container.
