Nitrate: .5
Nitrite: 0

BRS 2-part
Aquavitro Fuel 2-3 times per week

Issue: tank overall has been doing good, not perfect, but good. Haven’t lost anything.
However I came back from being out of town a couple weeks ago and most of my soft corals are oozing brown a little bit and no full polyp extension. I really am struggling to figure out the issue in this tank and why my sps seem to be fine but my softies just never seem fully happy. I do 10% water changes weekly. I used to run Purigen media backers but stopped because I felt I was starving the corals. Only thing I’m still trying to figure out is what intensity is best with these AI primes. Everyone has a different opinion or setting on them. So I have no idea whether it’s too much light, not enough, etc. I took this setting from a reefer with a very successful tank. I am running this setting at only 50% in acclimation mode.

Any ideas why my softies are ticked off and won’t open?

Oops. Accidentally posted a different schedule that was on my iPad and not synced up. This is my actual lighting schedule. This is a variation of the AB+ conversion BRS created

Woah, I have a 24gal and my lights are not that high

The brown could be poopie or stress related. A water change always a must when issues arise. Lower light intensity of white and increase blue.

Will give that a try. Anyone else have any ideas?

Also softies covers a wide array of geniuses. Some like leathers and barrium shed and can look polyp-less for upto a month if the shed takes a bit to come off.
Some like gorgorians produce toxins that enter the water in small amounts. Carbon helps here. Even if not continuous say every week or 2 run a reactor or 24 hours.

Also ime softies are more finicky than sps to small salinity changes, wont die but will act up.

I doubt they all just started oozing brown at the same time. It's more likely dino, or brown jelly started taking over the tank or something. A picture would help a lot.
