Ok guys, so my skimmer doesnt work as some may have seen in my tank emergency post. Ive gone on thinking.... can i run this tank with no skimmer?

I was thinking to make the whole sump a fuge. First part of the sump will be chaeto, caleurpa, sea lettuce, dragons breathe. second part of the sump will be mangroves. and third part will be the return and carbon reactor.

OR

If i cant do this, then i will have to buy an external skimmer. The external skimmer im looking at is a Reef Octopus Classic 110ext, with a reef octopus DC feed pump

I don’t think you need a skimmer. My tank is running on fuge only with caulerpa prolifera. Especially since it’s a softy tank, I think the corals will enjoy the extra food/participated in the water without a skimmer.
