my tank is about 2 years old. I have about 21 fish in a 220 g DT. My Sohal was the last to be added to the tank, and he was about 3". as he got bigger he started bullying the mimic tang. Now he's about 7-8" long and about 4-5 wide, he terrorizes EVERY fish except, my crosshatch. He chased the Niger trigger that he jumped out of the tank. My wife is ticked and wants me to get rid of him. I thought Sohal was only aggressive to other tangs. I tried Nori and it works until its finished and he's back on the terror. I used the mirror and it worked for 2wks until he got wise.

Any other suggestions. I really don't want to get rid of him. All he does is chase them around the rock work and that's . I lost the niger cause I didn't have the cover on :(

Dang its hard to say since its such a big fish can't really use a acclimation box you might have to sell him or trade for another fish or give it time.

You’re gonna eventually want to find him another home. Use a fish trap. Maybe try to lower the water till you can net it.

I had a sohal in my 220 for a year. So aggressive. Terrorized all my fish. For a year a tried to catch it. Tried so many techniques. Even offered up 100$ to my friends to try and they failed. Until one day when I came home from work. Walked past my tank and noticed a weird calm about it. He happened to jump into my overflow. I netted it and placed him in my sump till I could trade him up at the fish store. LFS ended up putting him in there show tank and never gave them any issues. Weird.

crazy... I paid $250 at such a small size. I wonder how much they will offer for him at his size.

There’s not really anything you can do, at this point if he is being a terror he has decided that the tank is his territory. I would suggest a time out in the sump but that may only delay the inevitable.
