Hi all. Im new to the hobby and I have enjoy it every step. I have a stablish tank for over year and a half, not knowing anything about salt water aquariums but wanting one I put hands on work and I have done pretty good, no fish losses water quality great, frecuent water changes and all till this past Irma hurracaine, I lost 7 fishes and a cleaning ship and water ammonia, pH and nitrites sky rocking, my water start smelling fishy and I got very nervous. I start to work on it again and start to put chemicals until the next day that pet shop open and my power came back, it open 2 days later after I get my power back and luckily the fishy smell go away and things get stabilized once the sump was working and running, did a water change add new chemicals to adjust water again and corals and remaining fishes was doing great.
Now I have another situation, I have a deep blue light and no remote, I was using it with out remote because it work with no issues when I turn the switch on, few days before it turn off on me few occasions b ut I didn't worry as I thought it maybe the timer of the light or something that some one touch.
Yesterday I turn the light on and after 2 minutes it went off and never got back on again, I look in the internet and find info on the solar Xtreme Deep Blue profesional but it wasn't very detailed, on the little part of trouble shoot I check that the lamps was not loose, removed them and put them back on again but nothing still, the LED Pad light up and let me manually put the time and set up the lights time on and off but even after a little bit seens that the clock time goes off the proper time, I also not sure if this light does not turn on in case a lamp goes bad. Any suggestions will be appreciated, I bought this use but I love the light that it gives to my tank, fishes and corals.
