So about 8 weeks back I had a disease take out a fish in my QT, while there were a couple in there. Ich for sure.

so clearly the one that lived has been exposed to it - but never showed any sign of infection at the time or since.

now I am thinking of when I can pack up shop on my QT, but I don’t want to move a potential carrier into my DT. Is there simply no way to know if the fish is perpetuating some harmless and undetectable Ich cycle in the tank w/o doing a full copper treatment? Is there a bath of some sort I can give it during transfer that would lower the risk?
Thanks!
