Solidifying Calcium?

What kind of filtration is running on your system? You could probably grab all that stuff quickly with a 100 micron filter sock, since they're discreet particles and not a diffuse haze as you would see with a bacterial bloom.

I think I go in and grab it with a fabric net every 3 hours..... it works great until they form again!

Carbon! Last time I attempted to run carbon (in my older tank with anemones and zoas) it almost killed EVERYTHING. would it anger my current Xenia?

It is literally impossible to anger Xenia. They seem to prefer dirtier water. I have a powerful pump blowing right over my Xenia and they just sway around like drunk flowers. They no longet pulse though because I'm moving the water for them.

But I've had my tank in a state where the sand got stirred up and I was scraping a ton of algae at the same time (I knocked a pump off into the sand while scraping) and the Xenia could care less and I could barely see through the water.

Do you have pulsing Xenia? They will stop pulsing if you have a pump move water for them. That's the only thing (not harmful), but people with tanks that are too clean have a tough time keeping them, which is why mine are thriving .
