So tonight with the new moon cycle going on and my Primes being at 0% I decided to head over to my tank to tank a look at the 6 zoa frags I picked up really cheap a week ago. To my surprise shining the light into the water I noticed lots of specks.....so I turned off my pumps and skimmer and let the water settle. I tried getting good pics with a magnifying glass...but let's see if u can make it out. Note.....I have no pods in my tank...and frags we're dipped for 5min.

Are you asking if Peppermint shrimp are capable of parthenogenesis? I don't have an answer for you but I feel like clarifying the question might help you get an answer. Those certainly look more like baby shrimp than most of the pods I've seen...

I have looked up their reproductive cycle and they are hermaphrodites. Males all the way around until they molt when for a brief time they are female. But as I said I only have the one shrimp....but yeah they do look like shrimp babies.

These are peppermint larvae. Mine breed regularly. They can both have eggs at the same time. The pictures you have look more like mysid shrimp.
