Solve My Dilemma

NYC apartment dweller here. So....I'm wanting to set up a tank after being out of the hobby for years. Red Sea Reefer Peninsula. My problem is two fold. I don't have room for a quarantine tank except for something small under the cabinet. I also need to figure out the RO situation as I have no room for a permanently installed system. So reef God's what are your thoughts?

A small qt under the stand would be fine, at doesn't have to be fancy, as long as you're taking care of it and following proper quarantine procedure size isn't a huge matter.

As far as water goes, an Rodi unit under the sink filling a small reservoir is one option, just buying your water from a trusted store is another.

There is no room under the cabinet..it would have to be something I can hook on and off.

Then go with a ro buddy style system and hook it up with a faucet adapter. That way you can make water as needed and remove it when done

Yeah +1 on the facuet hookup or I have mine hooked up above the washer with a Tee into the cold water supply. When I need, i make 4 5gallon batches.

Actually my apt has a washer dryer hookup in a closet..I bet I could somehow use that..never thought about it

Some things to remember in regards to RO systems in an apartment is considering a water pressure gauge. Often times when water is traveling upwards it loses pressure making to filtration less than acceptable. If pressure is low(numbers will be provided with the membrane) look into a booster pump. Also, I keep a BRS 5-stage under my kitchen sink. Fits perfectly without any permanent drilling or screws.

As stated by @reeferfoxx, please check pressure. I have mine generating between 50-60 psi. I can make 5g in 1hr on a 150gpd system. But you should be able to see the washer area. I will send pics when i get home

Can you find the space under one of the sinks for a setup like this? I had to do this for two years in an apartment.

Now, I have a laundry room and this is my RODI connected to the cold water line of the W/D hookup.

Does anyone know where I can get the dimensions of the RSR 500 peninsula cabinet. I'm actually interested in the separate open space that is next to the sump area. Thanks.
