Somantic 60 Sump and skimmer question

My tank is two weeks old downgraded to a 40 gallon inovative marine 40 XT with Hydra 26. Tank is plumbed and live sand in all levels are normal. I also have a carbon reactor installed. I've added some zoanthids, pipe coral and some mushroom corals only because I keep some frags from my previous tank. I'm my 160 I had a sump with chato.

So my question is if there any anyone that runs a somatic 60 sump and would like to grow some maco algae of some kind. There is a spot that looks like it would be perfect with a bit of modifications does anyone have any ideas?

Haven’t tried chaeto in there but I do keep a bag of de*nitrate and some rock rubble in there.

I was thinking I could plumb my return pump and put it in the left side and order the return pump box and grow the chato or whatever in there. I don't want any hob ideas I like everything hidden away. The chamber on the left with the return goes in seems like a good place. I had a biocube 32 with the upgrade chato basket and that worked well and it was super tiny. I guess I could make one
