I have a 92 gal corner reef tank and have been using a 250 w metal halide for 6 hrs and two aquaticlife led strips for two hrs before and two hrs after halide is on. I want to change to 165 w full spetrum led (ebay) . First I m not sure this is enough light for this tank with lps and softies if not I plan on buying another one. The other question is should I phase out the halide or just go all leds at once. Thanks in advance for the help ...Kim

You more often than not get what you pay for. Check out the warranty and reputation of the vendor.

You really cant judge the output of the light by watts as some LEDs are more than twice as efficient as others.

If it has optics you will be close but its best to do a before and after PAR reading.

Kim,

If it's on Ebay and it's new, you have to wonder, why is it there and not a company website? I've bought 2 led fixtures on Ebay and have been seriously disappointed with both. I've bought Eco Tech, EverGrow and OceanRevive fixtures and all 3 have been well made and better quality light. I'm just saying, how much are you saving? A good quality light used may be OK on Ebay, but beware of new. They are sold on Ebay for a reason.
