Science requires ... a control of parameters.
Recently added an Anemone and a Clove coral.
And I would swear something is up with the algae in the tank.
Possibilities.
1) Anemone is consuming something in the water. Clove is just a small frag ... so far.
2) Some microorganism came in with the Anemone or Clove coral.
3) The Anemone or Clove coral are producing some agent interfering with algae growth.
Many plants poison the soil around themselves to prevent other plants from growing.
Corals could depend solely on fish to graze algae, but why not produce an algaecide?
Taking any action based on this posting would be a ...
