SOME Euphyllia not extending, but others are

Hey everyone,
Thanks for taking a look at this post. At the very beginning of October I started a new tank. After about 2.5 months I added in a few soft coral and a few LPS. The initial lot did well so I added in other LPS. Parameters have been pretty stable.NH3/NH4 = 0ppm, NO2- = 0ppm, NO3- = 0ppm, Phos = 0.44ppm (too high), pH = 8, Temp= 78, Salinity = 1.026 (ATO maintains this throughout the week), Ca2+ 430ppm, ALK 7.7 (I dose to keep both of these stable, now I just need to raise them to the desired levels; 450 and 8.1).

The problem is with the Frogspawn and the Torch. My frammer is doing great and is growing. The torch stays completely retracted on the lowest and most shaded head and mostly retracted on the others - it is fairly shaded. The frogspawn has never opened up since being put in this tank, but its still growing new heads...?

Any suggestions? I've got 2 AI 32s mounted 14" above the water level using the David Saxby settings. I do not know the PAR readings.

Nutrients seem unbalanced, but might not be 'accurate' as some might be taken up by the nuisance algae in the display. You should try to get your nitrates higher, but phosphates much lower.

What are you doing to remove nitrates and phosphates in the tank?

Yeah, still struggling with nitrates. There's definitely some nuisance algae growing in the tank, there is also cheato in the sump. I'm using some gfo too. It gets changed out tomorrow. Do you think that's what's got them agitated?

I think you can try to-
1.Move them at a different location. Change flow or light not both together.
2.Dip them in a coral dip. Some benign flatworms can cause euphylias to close up. 3. Target feed them reefroids or something similar and see if that changes something.
4. Do a bigger water change.
