I know this might be a no brainer but just wanted to see what you guys thought.

I'm setting up my first tank with a sump. The cabinet is 2' wide and I have a GFCI outlet installed where I intend to plug in the equipment. I bought a power strip that has switches for each plugin. Now, I have seen some folks install the strips in the cabinet above the sump. Is this a wise move? Would installing it on the back of the cabinet be a better move? I am not sure if i really have a good spot away from the tank that i don think will ever get splashed. I guess I am just nervous since I have already had a few minor splashes. Here are a few pictures to show you what I am dealing with.

Think of gravity when you mount the strip. If water runs down the power cords, make sure there is a drip loop before hitting your strip.
