I picked up a few new ones recently and thought I would share them here.

Anyone know if this one has a name on Zoaid.com or elsewhere?

These polyps are really different. They came on the rock of the pinks above. They have a sky blue fill. What's different is that the polyps skin isn't smooth. It looks like there are sand attached to each and feels like sandpaper. I thought at first that these had some kind of disease but then they all opened up nicely.

Here is a shot of the polyps closed up. You can see the difference between the 2 types of polyps. Has anyone seen this before?

Very nice! I like the ones with the green rings in the second pic. I've never seen polyps with sand stuck to them like those last ones.

Yep. Early Xmas shopping to beat the crowds :D

I like the green ones too. Altho the mouths aren't actually purple. It's just greyish. That would have been a cool Paly version of the Mean Greens.

they look like the Rainbows I just got but I think they look better under your 20k's.. :)

Hey Pook - I got the same sand looking covered sky blue polyps, they came with a green paly colony I recently got. I ended up fragging some out so they wouldn't be choked out.

cool.. they're coming out again.. I sold my colony (100+ polyps) of those when I broke my 75g.. they stay that color under any MH lighting IMO... really unique looking..

Marvin, I wished those were the Rainbows. They definitely aren't as bright as yours. Hopefully they color up with time :p

SWF, good idea. I was thinking about doing that so I can keep them alive and separate.

Hi Kenny.. there's couple different morphs of the Rainbow palys.. the only difference will be how bright the pink is and how big the green center is... here's two versions.. maybe overtime, they will look the same...

these are the ones I like...

I dunno if that helped..

Well, the ones I got look very similar to your first pic. Maybe the colors will deepen with time. I like your CARs. You were holding out on me man :D

I've only had them for about a month or so...

there will be more to go around come next year...

I've got some really nice projects for All-Star frag packs next year.. will be underway after my New Years vacation in Vegas.. :D

Pookstreet, SWFanatic,

Those blues are like these 2, right? They're coming in on this current batch of new colors.

Sweet pic Mr. Ugly. That's the one, except mine aren't all the way blue to the skirts.

BTW, do yours have the gritty sand attached to the stalks like mine?

Yep on the sand.

These were hitchhikers that my lfs fragged from a paly rock. He had just the two, and was going to prop them. I was able to talk him into to selling those to me.

Looks like if you keep your eye on those Rainbow, Pink, and Candy Apple Red type rocks, that you might be able to snag some as hitchhikers.
