Someone needs more coffee.Beasutiful!
The dream! This picture makes me want to empty my tank, triple my income, and set up a nem garden with these fine specimens.
Did you order them in direct, or were they cherry picked for you at an importer? These nems came in from Bali and to be honest I usury get deep reds with a bluish base color from there so I was surprised to see them looking like this![]()
I’ve been ordering pretty much boxes of nems from wherever I can get them for years now. so when they have them or stuff that’s worth my while I’ll get the really crazy colored weird stuff. I really only deal with nems so they gotta get together some nice stuff before I’d place an order lol :’) I’ll rarely get fish or other invertsDid you order them in direct, or were they cherry picked for you at an importer?
The 3 carpets are haddoni and the other 2 guys in the back are long tentaclesThese are super neat! Are they haddoni or gigs? I can't tell.

I get so many questions about that I hear a lot of people brown them out or they loose color. This is not the case Rainbows will remain rainbows under the proper conditions and nutrients just like keeping the bright vibrant colors on spsYou kept any rainbows long term?

It’s a fair question nonetheless. I’ve seen quite a few rainbow carpets die over time because they are simply sick red carpets. Red/orange yellow shift follows zooxanthellae loss.I get so many questions about that I hear a lot of people brown them out or they loose color. I definitely see where you are coming from a lot of nems could be bleaching but from dealing with mostly nems carpets specifically. We’re talking hundreds over the years I get some really rare color combos that are indeed color combos of healthy nems I’ve kept rainbows for 2 years plus and have sold them for many different reasons. Haddoni are indeed bullet proof but do require perfect conditions to thrive and maintain their colorsIt’s a fair question nonetheless. Rainbow carpet anemone
Check out the rainbow carpet anemone that my LFS has in stock. I’m 99% sure it’s a Haddoni but since there was one rainbow gigantea I want to see it in person to confirm the species.www.reef2reef.com
My old friend Minh (@OrionN) mentions his experience in that thread as well.
I mean they are Haddoni they should be pretty bullet proof. Neon colors as a rule just isn’t great news in anemone. Not trying to be a downer happy reefing everyone!
Love haddoni. My fav nem and they would look great w some saddlebacks. Here is a pic in full white
Respectfully I, we still haven’t pointed out or found say a 1+ year rainbow specimen that looks the same.I definitely see where you are coming from a lot of nems could be bleaching but from dealing with mostly nems carpets specifically.
