WOW! These are incredible pictures and corals! Magnificent!

Thanks for sharing, now fill us in on the tank details and maybe post up a FTS.

BTW Welcome to CZ!!!

:( just tore down my display tank, but i currently have everything in a 48x24x12 frag setup i recently set up while my new tank project gets underway.

The frag tank, is roughly 60 gallons, 2 standpipe overflows, to a 45 gallon sump w/ refugium. Running an Octopus DNW-200 skimmer, overkill, but thats kinda my style. Phosban reactor, Tunze Osomolator, and 18 watt UV steralizer.

Lighting is 2 250w HQI 14k pheonix bulbs in reef optix III reflectors.

Circulation is done through 4 3/4 open returns powered by a MAG24 (dialed down a bit), no additional flow is needed anymore. Each are adjustable via output direction and flow by ball valves.

Currently in a temp spot, using cement blocks with a platform you could park a car on (2x6's and 3/4 plywood)

Here is a pic without some of the returns, one light still not up, and NO cord management

Soon (i hope) to add reefkeeper Elite controller when it is released.

My new tank build is going to be 72 x 30 or 36 x 24 or 26, built in wall, all tied into grow out tank, much larger sump, and should be in the area of 400-500 gallons total water volume.

Like i said this pic was taken while it was still a work-in-progress

Nothing wrong with that! Can't wait to see the new setup. Whats the time frame on it?

:horse: wish i knew. My wifes 3 months pregnant, and need a new truck, so we will have to wait and see. Looking like it should all up and running by the end of the summer (being realistic). Lots of hardware to buy. However, im setting 4 more of those grow out tanks up at my dads house a few miles away, and he should be getting a 275 gallon display tank soon if all goes to plan. the display measuers 60 x 44 x 24, ONE GIANT CUBEish tank, its going to be awsome.

thats the last pic i got of it before i realized the DT's i had, had gone bad that i was feeding it in isolation. Owell, try again if i come across it again.

That thing is awesome!!! Yeah they are are. Pink and black sounds cool

No one knew what it was for a while until it started growing in the store. A customer brought it in cause they thought it wa ssomthing bad. I heard they are very hard to keep alive? I may go pick up a frag tommorow.

awesome pics man.. I do also like the tunicate pic

Nice shots. My advise would be to get as much tank stuff as you can done because once that baby comes you can pretty much forget the 4 hours playing in the tank every other day or so......just speaking from experience. I have a 5 week old and I've probably spent 1 hour total on the tank in those 5 weeks......but your situation might be different....... ; )Nice stuff though.

lol, i hear ya, ive already got a 2 1/2 year old, and the 2nd on the way, and my house has been under construction for months, due to a garage fire. So yeah, I usually do all my tank stuff between the hours of 11pm and 3 am.:D
