How do you prevent pests like AEFW and red bugs?

How do you prevent pests like AEFW and red bugs?
Prevention is key, weekly KCL and interceptor treatments covers the pest issues.
Also anything new gets the base cut off and mounted fresh when going in the displays.

So it goes debase, dip/interceptor, observe debase, display.

Do you sell/ship acropora?

I cheated with insta so I’ll sit this one out… :grinning-face-with-sweat:
I needed the answer now, so I cheated, too. :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:
Dang we got cheaters?!?!
Anyways, my hanna checkers reported that I had
59.7 ppm nitrate
.7+ phosphate, My checker can’t read it since it’s too high.

These results were taken right after I dosed the concoction. Will test again in a few days to see consumption

And everyone says low required for acro...... Mine range 30- 40 and .03 to .1. I stopped worrying a while ago.

Well, technically not wrong but constantly elevated levels can be harmful. What I shoot for in my system is active depletion. If my nutrient levels go down it provides a good gauge of how my system is running. Especially when I can correlate the decreasing nutrient levels with increased coloration/ tissue health.

I was featured recently on the latest episode of the Beyond the Reef podcast hosted by Adam Sutherland of Frag Garage. For now the podcast is available on spotify, and should be available on youtube soon! It was an honor and a great experience to appear on his podcast and talk reef.
