Spectacular images, love your updates. :-)

One of my favorite collection of corals. What parameters do you strive for? Alk, Cal, PO4, NO3. I'm curious if you think you own the growth and coloration to anything in particular? CaRX, additives, stable alk, lighting, flow, etc. Ordered in priority. We all seem to think we have it figured out until it doesnt work anymore. :-)

Thank you
Alk 8-9
Cal 450
PO4 - .04
NO3- 4

I believe that stability is the main thing with sps.
You have to get your water correct first then everything else comes after.

I think my biggest issue right now is getting any kind of nitrate and I feed a heck of a lot of food. Various coral foods and fish foods everyday and Red Sea Energy A&B every other day. Corals are looking good and growing but I think I can achieve even better colors and growth with a bit of nitrate liek you have. My refugium, Marine Pure blocks and BubbleKing SM250 just wont allow any nitrate. :-) Its a great problem to have for the benefit of my fish (they are super fat and heatlthy) but I do want some nitrate I think. Do you do anything to get your nitrate to 4? Mine is always zero. I'm using an Elos test kit.

I increased my feedings, quite a bit, and now my nitrates stay up. No more dosing nitrates for me. My phosphates tend to drop through.

How do you keep your PO4 in check? GFO? My PO4's rise the more food I add but not my NO3. Really weird. I used to think they went hand in hand.

Honestly, not sure. I do run a skimmer and do 15% water changes once a week. I've been upping the feedings to include broadcast feeding of some filter feeder food I got awhile ago. Fish gets either mysis or pellets once a day.

hi,

I asked ones about your light T5 combo and the schedule you said that you use a "15 hours schedule" can you please explain more as I use 8 and I am curious to know how you do it with 15 hours with T5s. That is a lot.

Hi Hung, I see your tank and corals are still stunning as ever. Since my tank crashed I haven't been on any site for a long time. You just inspired me to start with a new tank. I'll PM you once my tank is ready, you know which sps I want.
