No critique on the edit. Overall EXCELLENT!
If you increase the fstop you get a better depth of field. Its SOOOO hard to get them in focus on the nose sometimes. its luck. By giving yourself more depth of field you stand a better chance of having more of the fish in focus.

Thanks. That photo was all just luck, and many attempts. If you look at before and after, I just blended the background to make more presentable. The canon 70D has a big learning curve for someone who has never really done a lot of photography. I will say the radium 20k lights help though.

I shoot mostly coral. My fish pics are lame or lucky.. It really does take a LOT of patience.

I agree totally. I almost think sitting in a totally dark room with tank lights on wearing dark clothing would be best. LOL

Ive done that yes. Only a few times has it really been needed though. You can also use a black cardboard with a hole in it. but it really depends on you house, tank lights etc.
