becareful with those protopalys
i had one just like that and it turned into 3 HUGE colonies and when i mean huge i mean each had over 100 polyps

FateX8 i hear you there. It started as about 8 polyps 12-14months ago and has grown to what you see. It is now starting to grow onto the glass behind it and the rocks around it. I'm going to have to do something about it very soon. I like the looks of the large colony, but it does make it a pain to manage.

Yah the first pic is candy apple red. I have had them for at least 6-8 months and haven't had a single new polyp. Part of the problem was there were 3 different kinds of algae coming out of the same piece of rock they were attached to. So as you can see i removed them from that and glued them to a new plug and they are doing really well.
