I did a water change and did my weekly testing and noticed the salinity was a bit high (1.028) so I added bit of RODI water, and either my initial reading was a bit off, or I added too much because it was 1.024 when I checked it after.

Noticed that some polyps on my torch were FULLY retracted. I put a picture here to show it.

I realize quick salinity change can effect coral poorly, but should I be on the look out for anything else?

They polyps have slowly started coming back out since I started writing this post if that helps at all as well.

Sounds pretty normal. Monitor it but you should be okay. It just retracted due to the shock of quickly changing the salinity. Also make sure to test twice if you get a reading that's not normal. Just to be sure before you make a change.

Yeah, I checked the salinity twice beforehand, pretty sure I added too much RODI water. The last time I let my ATO tackle it and it dropped to 1.020. I will definitely add the RODI slowly next time. I added 4 target feeders worth and apparently that is 1.001 salinity worth of RODI and I underestimated it.

I appreciate the help!
