WOW, Gary those are incredible!

Sara, is that Cyphastrea colony grown from the frag you bought through me at the GRMAS swap a couple years ago?! IIRC, you picked up the blue base with red polyp and green base with red polyp. If so... I've never seen one of my corals look so good :D If not... I still stink :(

It is actually one I got from you last year. My Radium bulb was going in the prop system and actually turned the base more grey than blue. It's now in the big tank with new Radiums, so it should blue back up soon! I also changed the bulb yesterday on the prop system as well.

I ended up killing the green base with red polyp frag :(

Whoaaaaa those shots are amazing!! What is this stcking you are talking about? Is it the Photoshp stack? Great details in those shots and if you dont mind me asking what setup were you using for them?

Thanks for the compliment

Stacking involves a series of photos with relatively shallow depth of field, each taken with a focus point progressively deeper into the scene. Depth of field for each shot must overlap. The images are then combined using software, Helicon Focus in this case, to make one image with more depth of field than is possible with a single shot.

My primary setup is a Canon 20D body, Sigma EX 180mm macro lens (sometimes with extension tubes), tripod, and remote release.
