Some sort of clam?

This guy has been in my biocube for years, but you could not see it since it was surrounded by mushrooms. Anyways after my mass mushroom detachment situation, it’s pretty easy to see now.

It has a hard shell and opens and closes, I assume it’s a filter feeder of some sort. Any ideas?

I have a few in my tank think it’s just a clam been there for years and no issues.
