I have a white coating of slime I think growing on one of my live rock. It’s wavy and moves with the flow of my tank any ideas? Thanks.

Sounds like a fairly common bacteria. Do you have much in the way of a CuC in your system?

No CUC because of dog face puffer
That makes it challenging. Bacteria like this is normally seen when carbon dosing to lower nitrates. Most snails and hermits seems to eat it. Honestly, I'm not sure how to deal with it in a FOWLR with a puffer.

Thanks. I’m not really sure what I’m going to do. Hopefully someone will comment with an answer

They say the white hairy looking bacteria is actually the strain that eats phosphate. Not sure but I assume its not a bad thing. I got this bacteria in a couple spots of my tank without issues.

That’s a relieving comment thanks
