Hi everyone. Just noticed this thing in my tank. It kinda looks like a jelly sponge. Any ideas?

How in the world would that get in there? I stayed with dry rock and don’t have any corals. I guess the big question is should I be concerned?

Sponges are ok. No need to worry. You can confirm it is a sponge if it lacks symmetry and had pores covering it's surface. Typically there is one large pore (the outflow channel) and then tiny pores all over the surface.

Good to know. I just took a flashlight to the tank and there seems to be more. I’m still cycling the tank so I’ll take this as a win
