Hi,
so I’ve had these black dots embedded in my ceriths shells that seem to send out a mucus thread like a vermetid does but i don’t see a tube like vermetids are usually in. It also seems like they have some sort of hard cover that they can move bit. It’s hard to tell because they’re so small. Just kinda curious as to what they could possibly be. This is the best photo I could take of them in the few months that I’ve had them.
I also have these tiny hairy hydroid looking things that just exploded all over one of my other ceriths. Can anyone confirm if they are in fact hydroids? They don’t seem to react to touching them or anything like I’m used to seeing. They just wave back and forth like algae. I do have medusas and the snowflake stage in my tank so I’m not surprised if that is what they are.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks
Al
