I picked up some wild frags over the last month. Would like to try and figure out what they are. They were bought as no-names from wild colonies. All frags were $25 or less from Ellis Aquatics except the first one which was from LAX Aquarium.

#1 - This one is the first sps I put in my system since it has been stable after a crash. It was completely browned out and had some stn. The white stuff is IC gel that I glued over the stn areas. In the last two weeks it has started to color up and has been looking more plump.

#2 - Added two weeks ago. Has had good PE from the start and has encrusted a good 1/4" around the plug since I added it.

#3 - Also added two weeks ago. Has shown good PE from the start. Brown body with blue tips. Seems to be coloring up and shows a little more encrusting since I added it.

#4 - Added two days ago, the pink one in the back. Nice bright pink color, new growth looks blue.

#5 - Added two days ago. Yellow tips with brown polyps. To me it looks similar to TCK Pikachu or Pink Floyd?

#6 - Added two days ago. I think its my favorite of the bunch. Looks like some sort of bonsai or tri-color valida. The white string is some mucous that is still hanging on from when it was stressed/acclimated.

Any input or help on the ids would be appreciated.

Those two pinkish ones you have look nice; that Mille/prostrata one (second pic) I’m curious how it’ll look once it starts cookin in your tank.

Yea, love that pink little nub. The Mille (2nd pic) looks better every day. Seeing green, blue, pink, orange showing more. Hopefully it continues to get brighter as it takes off. I just gave all of those frags permanent homes. It will be interesting to see how they do in their new spots.

If they are wild caught they have no name, name them yourself
Yep, no lineage, no name... unless you're looking for scientific names that is.

I can just create a name? Five other people could have those same frags.

Maybe ill name them once they turn into a colony / they turn out really nice / someone wants a frag of it. There are already so many names out there for sps that are borderline exactly the same. I don't want to make up names for no reason.

Yes you can name it. Usually when pieces are named, it is because the piece exceeded the standard coloration and became an extraordinary piece.

Nice, Looks like you lucked out and got some nice frags there. You never know what to expect with wild pieces, so it's kind of exciting, especially when they turn out nice. I like that #2
