Someone help me save my elegance!

When you said inside did you mean in the flesh or the skeleton? I looked last night but didn't find anything. Gonna try again tonight when light's out.

How much peroxide and how long to dip? Will that kill the pods too?

The vermetid snails attach themselves to the skeleton if the coral and they release a web to catch food and suck it back in. That web irritates the coral. Just scrape them off with soothing hard. I use tweezers.
As far as peroxide. Just one part peroxide. One part RO water for two min. The coral flesh will start to bible up and look ugly. Don't worry it's normal. Rinse the coral with fresh RO water and place it back in the tank in a shaded area for it to recover. It will look terrible for two days. You will think you killed it. But it will come back to life better than before. Hope this helps.

Oh yea ...I did see something casting a web like projection a foot long across about a week now. I'm guessing it came with the EC . Anyway I can extract the snail w/o killing it? Thanks !!!!

You WANT to kill it. Fast. Now! They are a pest and spread fast. They get on any rock. Skeleton and plastic in your tank and cast webs everywhere. Trust me. I'm battling these now. KILL IT!!!!

Oh did not know that... Had a few tanks over the years but this is the first time I noticed them. Thanks.

The majority of the elegances that hit our market have either the crab issue or bacteria issues. I rarely see them thrive...it happens....but more of an exception.

Didn't see any crabs just snails on the fleshy part of my EC. Just dipped it for 2 mins with HP. Will report back in a few days if things
went well.
