Someone went missing but is back home now!

A few weeks ago I put this little green sea hare in the school tank and he went missing! I thought for sure he was dead after looking in the overflow and not seeing him. Well I did a water change today and the little buddy came shooting out of the drain lol. He’s back home now and I’m sure he’s hungry it’s also possible that he has been climbing in and out on his own since I’ve now heard of other people seeing him in the tank since then haha. And I wouldn’t be surprised if he crawls into the overflow again lol.

All I can think about is this was probably his ride out and how he felt getting shot out of the drain!

I have a lid as well but it isn’t covering the overflow and there’s a small gap between so he took that opportunity to crawl in lol! He’s tiny so he can fit through tight spaces.

My dude is like 4 inches and Im shocked at the small spots he wedges in
