Someone with an ORCA 250 please respond!

Just picked up a reeflo orca 250, but it's missing the part where the water goes into the skimmer. I believe that it's a schedule 80 union, but I just bought a 1" one and it's nowhere close to fitting on. Just trying to figure out which piece is supposed to be there.

Orca PCV is metric. I owned an Orca 200. Post a pic of what you are referring to and maybe I can help.

its a metric fitting for a made in america skimmer. i have the 200 and its a pain to fix when something happens to it. that being said it will eat most skimmers up and spit them out. the 250 is a "big dog" so i hope you have a bioload to keep its going.
i dont know how mrc customer service is but reeflo was second to none

wow that's kinda small, but that's the piece. I'm guessing either sch. 40 or sch. 80 union. But I have some of those misc. parts laying around and I can't get anything that fits.

OK.....thanks for the pic. Your issue is that you need a female union half to connect to the male union half that is cemented in place in the skimmer. This should solve your problem. Go to this link and see the bottom half of the page:

There are two standards, DIN (German) and JIS (japan), so you will have to do some metric measuring for this, but the nice thing is that these are metric to US PVC unions, so you are good to go once you determine the right mm. union to get. I'm guessing the standard will be JIS since this is an Asian made product.
