Well I woke up this morning and started feeding my fish. Only to realize my baby yellow tang was not swimming around like he normally does. It was about the size of a quarter.

I finally found it behind a rock eaten. All that's left is part of his face / eyeball. Not sure what happened in my tank last night but he was the weakest link. I don't have any predictors in the tank. Here is my stock list.

Current Stock:

4 clowns,
1 purple tail fire fish
2 pj cardinals
Bi Color Blenny
Striped Blenny

Do I have a killer on my hands?

How large is your tank? Do you have live rock in your tank that something could have hitchhiked in on? What about a cleanup crew?

Clownfish can be very territorial, and with four you’re pressing your luck. Still, it’s possible it died from some other issue and was opportunistically fed upon.

Chances are when you found it, it died and scavenging began which is typical in both fresh and saltwater.
You wouldnt have pic of fish alive and after by chance ?

It's a 75G that I used dry rock for. I know clowns are territorial but they have never showed any aggression to any of their tank mates. They normally hang in a pod of 4 and float around the same rock all day.

He was a healthy tang no issues, eating tons and swimming all day.

NO CUC in the tank they are in QT

No I got him two weeks ago from TSM aquatics. He was a tiny thing, healthy still quite see through. Very active, ate like a beast and showed no signs of any disease.

Was he skinny much? If he was see through i imagine hes quite young and small fish have higher metabolisms, how often did you feed?
What species do you mean by a striped blenny just wondering?

I feed the tank 2x a day. He was always full with a greenish belly. He would eat all day & grave all day.

The stripped blenny is a Meiacanthus Grammistes
