So GSP been fine right up until this morning we noticed it didn't open the polyps, and is covered in white stuff...

Upon closer inspection, looks like critters. Couldn't get camera to focus well, but here's a pic:

Suspect it's flatworms.

I just introduced a sea star, and 2 cleaner shrimp... Didn't see anything on either of them that could explain this. Came out of nowhere today.

Suggestions on how to handle them? Any advice/input greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

I can't see the picture very well as I am on my phone but is it possible that they are actually amphipods feeding on decaying matter? Are you able to remove one and get a better picture of it?

I'd take it out and dip it whatever dip you use. Then put it in a QT for a bit. Whatever is eating it will starve and you can put it back then.

I looked at the photo on my laptop, it definitely wasn't pods. Could be worms, but it's really hard to tell.

I'll see if I can get some better pics and post back shortly. It's extended polyps now and can't easily see the white things now.

Thanks! will post back an updated pic shortly

It almost looks like there's a purple nudibranch on the right of the GSP.

I didn't realize those were the white dots you were referring to. I thought you were talking about what was directly on some of the individual polyps. Those are def pineapple sponge that you speak of.
