?? Something Eating into surface of Acropor's Base???

Had the same issue with my bonsai on the back side where the light wasnt hitting when I was running LED and this area was definitely shadowed, after switching to t5 the area is growing back.

Looks exactly the same, not traditional RTN like it was surgically cut out.

Yes this is true for me, but that older area may need scraping. I believe some algae( small area a little green in color only) may be inhabiting new growth chemically. Not sure. not spreading outside damaged area.
