This morning I found that 2 of my corals have been destroyed - an SPS and an NPS - both stripped of their tissue. Both of these corals have been thriving since I got them and I have many many other corals in the tank that are fine - so I am not looking for a problem with water parameters, lighting, flow, etc - I think something is actually eating them. Has anyone experienced anything like this before? I had the same thing happen about 8 months ago to some duncans - the outer tissue was torn off of them and then the heads were ripped up (not just detached, but ripped up).
For fish I have 2 fancy clowns, 1 Blue Hippo Tang, 1 Tomini Tang, 1 Diamond Goby, 1 Ornate Wrasse, 1 Blue Star Wrasse, and 1 Yellow Corris Wrasse. For inverts I have 3 sexy shrimp, 1 cleaner shrimp, and 2 peppermint shrimp - it is there 2 peppermint shrimp that I think are to blame (perhaps they aren't actually peppermint?).
Thoughts/opinion/ideas? On the top pic you can see the SPS stripped to the skeleton and on the bottom pick you can see my sun coral is receded and the back has had tissue stripped off. Again, this happened overnight last night.
