Hey reefers!
I've been having an issue with some of my zoanthids/palys. It seems as if something is eating them. It is only effecting some of them, while others seem to have no problem. My cornbreds rainbows, Halle Berries, and Sunny Ds seem to be most effected. I first thought it was a water quality problem, and did a 50+% water change, changed the carbon and my filter socks. Sometimes they are fully open, but seem to have closed polyps much of the time. I attached pictures below.

I have a small clown trigger, however i never noticed him actively bite the polyps.

Stumped o_O

Do you have a lot of astrena starfish? It pains me to say this because I have been big fans of theirs as free cleanup crew for years but some of mine have recently started eating zoanthids (they ignore palys).
I haven't seen them in a little while, but ill check.
