Hi. I am new to the coral reef tank and also reef2reef. Sorry if I'm posting this on wrong place. I have mixed coral reef tank and something is growing on my corals. I have no idea this thing is good or bad. Looks like it's bad. Do they have a name? I would like to know how to get rid of them. Does anybody know how to treat those things?

Hydroids?

I see vermetid snails. Super glue the tips if you can't remove 100% of them and their tube.

Looks like Bernardo snails. I tried the glue method and it helped but you’ll always be chasing them and glueing more and more unless u get all of them right off the bat. I has a outbreak and got 3 bumble bee snails for my 75 gal and haven’t seen them since.

*vermatid snails

Does any fish eats those? or any other creatures?
I’ve had success with bumblebee snails. I’ve read mixed reviews with other people trying it but they definitely helped my tank. Even if they don’t actually work it’ll be worth a try. Couldn’t hurt.

Cover with gel superglue. Valentini puffer May eat them but will eat the zoa also

Seems like vermatid snails it seems like, but they could be hydroids if they are hydroids then just add a molly fish to clean up the mess. If you need more info on a molly fish go to my thread called want to hear a little brackish secret to find out more. This includes a small reef safe puffer and a reef safe peaceful small schooling fish with jaw dropping colors and patterns.
