Something growing on my Trochus snail

So i just found something on my snail today. It’s not the best picture, but it’s black and white and retracted when I went close to the glass.

It does look like a very small feather duster. Now taking a close look at my snails they all seem to have something on them.

Snails coming from the ocean can be a bit like tiny liverock chunks. Fun!

Exactly. We have a trochus named Mammoth, who is HUGE and also home to two bivalves, several univalves and god knows what else!

He is and can be clumsy as he knocks over things, but he works hard and keeps the algae under better control than the inch sized ones we used to have
