SomeTHING growing under Zoa’s

Turnicate? I thought it was reef putty under the zoa frag for some reason, then it started growing and get spikes on it....no idea

Looks like sponge. We have some in a pink color. It gets these spikes when feeding the tank. They look really sharp but are soft to the touch. Pretty cool looking. I do believe it can another your zoas so keep an eye out.

A toothbrush to the sponge will remove it.
