IMO he hasn't been...doesn't bother the fish and vice versa...

How deep is your sand bed on average? From the pictures it looks like it barely covers the bottom except in a few places where it's piled up and then it doesn't look very deep. Too shallow a bed can be an issue for fish that like to dig burrows and sift sand.

It is 2 1/2”- 3“ deep and some areas have been pushed or pulled so it’s not evenly distributed like the corner in which I took the video but it is deep enough for the fish to sift and by miles deeper than the sand the LFS houses them in. And they were both sifting that sand which was a bigger granulation than mine before being picked and bagged.
The fish were smaller in size compared to the earlier ones we got so if I had to guess they were anywhere between 2“-3”long. They were also not thin or looked like they were starving. They had plump bodies but it does not matter both died not long after being introduced. One didn’t last 24 hours the other lasted just a little longer than that.

Yeah, sorry to hear that. I will not be buying anymore since this is the third pair I've tried. Everything else is fine that I introduced so I don't know.
