Hi everyone. I have a zoa colony that's been in the tank for almost three months. It thrived for a long time and is still growing new polyps. However, some of the polyps in the middle have crumbled. Has this happened to anyone else?

What do you mean by crumbled? Like broken apart? I haven't herd of something like that happen. Maybe melting away

It was in the middle of the colony. I didn't notice it at first because the polyps were close together. But one morning before the lights came on and the polyps closed, I notice that some were gone and the residue was a tan crumbly material. I dipped in Coral Rx today and nothing came off except amphipods. It's weird, the outside of the colony is still growing. I haven't moved it and the other zoas in the tank are fine. There's an acan lord a few inches away but its tentacles don't get anywhere near it and there are other zoas close by that are fine. I just can't figure it out.

I know right? And they haven't reopened since the dip. The other ones I dipped have. I have no clue what's going on.
