Something is eating this coral

Something is slowly eating this coral and I cannot figure out what. The damage seen has happened over three weeks. Our tank is new so only has chromis, snails, hermit crabs, cleaner shrimp and sea cucumbers. Any thoughts on what could be doing the damage?

What kind of coral is it?

Could it be dying back, as opposed to being eaten? (this is more than likely given what you have listed as your stock)...

Is the coral montipora digitata or stylophora or something else?
