Hello all,
I'm brand new to salt water and am starting a
55g fish and live rock tank. I've been cycling for
2 weeks and have been closely watching. I left for 3 hours
And came home to a bunch of yellow fuzz all over
The rocks. I'm a little panicked since it happened so
Quick and in such a large scale. Am I worried about nothing
Or do I have an issue? Here is picture I took

Don't panic, it's normal. They are called diatoms. This is part of the cycle. If you haven't already, check you nitrates and ammonia. As they stabilize think about CUC (clean up crew). Snails, urchins, her it crabs, etc...depending on the type of tank you want, you will need to monitor and stabilize salinity, phosphates, nitrates....

Whew! Thank you! I feel like a new parent! Do I have to wait for my tank to complete cycling before I add CUC?

yes...need to wait until cycle is done, then add inverts...inverts are very sensitive to ammonia...
