Seems like for the last week my mushrooms, toadstool mushroom seem to be shriveled. Elegance is not opening like it has been . Only thing that looks unaffected is the open brain....even my GSP are not opening. Fidsh are fine and eating like crazy. Did 2 water changes both approx 15-20%. Been doing salt tanks for approx 30 yrs and never seen this. No light change. salinity 1.025, phos-0, alk-9, calcium 400. nitrates -0 mag is about 1380. Any ideas would be welcomed and appreciated.

Phosphates and nitrates looks like they bottomed out. Do you know how long they have been at zero?
Nitrates been around 0 along as I can remember. Tank is about 4yrs old. Phos been around 0 varies off and on no big swings

I finally decided after doing this a long time that if you dont know what you are fixing keep doing what you always do, watch and wait it out. Look for broken equipment that isnt working right. Check things you only look at infrequently like heaters.
Something sprayed around the tank. Something in a bucket you used that wasn't supposed to be there. Wife placed a new air freshener. It's very possible you will never know.
Changing 30-40% of the water made no difference? Maybe try carbon for a day.
Open a new bottle of something you use? Work on something or in the yard and stuck your hand in the tank with something on it.
Just guessing for you.
Sorry it's all I got.

Thanks . Like I said been doing this awhile but never had this happen and I'm stumped.

Guess I could try dropping the all see what happens. Weird since I'm doing nothing new but something is messed up. Thanks for your reply

Alk not all
I’m interested in your set-up how are you keeping your nitrates and phosphate at 0 I’m getting ready to build a new 100 gal. system and would like to know what you think is the best way to keep nutrients low.
