Sup guys I’ve noticed something strange in my tank all of a sudden all the Zoas Our semi open are usually check for flow or temperature but it seems like the temperature is right and the flow isn’t a problem because all of them are semi open the ones in the bottom on the top on the side everything else seems good the montis etc etc I do have a couple of fish is dying due to Ich once I threw three tanks from my local fish store one ended up having ich and died then the other one then the yellow one survived but now my ande and hog fish have the ich here are my Perimeters today is the one on the far right I tested my RO and is perfect I am also getting like this little hair algae here and there I used red slime to make sure it’s not like cyano but it didn’t go away when it usually does so I didn’t dose any more red slime remover

Your Phosphates are kind of high if they are at 2 ppm. Most strive for under .1 but more like .02-.06 and around 5-10 Nitrate.

How old is your tank? If I were you I would do a water change because your Ammonia is high, your phosphates are high in my opinion but I do SPS, and your nitrates are elevated.

I keep my main 3 at:
Ammonia = undetectable
NO3= 4ppm
PO4 = 0.03

This thank ALWAYS sonce I bought it the nitrates have been at 40ppm that dip you see that goes to 20ppm then backtrack o 40ppm is because I used the red slime remover and I turned off the slimmer for about a week and a half now I did the water change and turned the slimmer back on and it will drop to 20 no matter what I do it’ll maintain at 20 nothing lower since the tank has been here and the phosphate has always maintained at 2.0 since the tank has been up running it’s been like 8 months

Just did the water change 20gal also the ammonia I think is because I lost two fish’s that died and I couldn’t find them and I’m guessing that’s what elevated it I’m hoping now with the WC it should do better and the phosphates has always been in that range my corals never seemed to care until now that all of a sudden the zoas have closed I feel like they might open up after this WC and the slimmer back on

I also forgot to mention about two weeks ago I started to leave the refugium light on 24/7 and I did witness a lot more algae like every two days my glass will be dirty I don’t know if the refugium can cause more algae in the display tank but for now I turned it off and gonna run it at night only

So your tank has some maturity so that is good. Could be the algae die off plus the fish death causing things to spike. I would keep testing every day and keep water on standby and If you see ammonia then water change again. Your bio filter needs to spool up to the new load, you could maybe help it with some instant ocean biospira.

refug light should not be on 24/7. It goes on when the DT lights go off and turns off when the DT lights goes on.
